  • Oooh, something else who is a greaaat fan of Ori and also comes from the Baguette land. That's not very common ^^

I contributed to some pages a while ago (I did not have an account back then, actually I just created mine now), noticeably the OST. I'm sure willing to contribute to some pages if I have a chance ^^'

(That was everything. Yeah, as the comment below, "It's nice to talk sometimes with somebody who is interested in Ori too" :p )

    • Hi! It took me 10 seconds to understand that you wasn't talking about Harry Potter because baguette also means wand in french xD. Sorry, the heat wave really tires me. And by the way, I'm fan of Harry Potter, that's also why my brain had this strange thought.PS : I know a lot of french fans of Ori. That's not so uncommon at all.

P-PS: Sorry for my grammar, I'm a pretty bad english speaker.

During this weekend and next week I'll continue this: https://oriandtheblindforest.wikia.com/wiki/Voice_lines. Lately I have not been too much on the wiki because I had a lot of things to do and I was abroad.

Another thing: some months ago, I extracted pictures and sounds from the game's files. If you want anything from the system files of the games (pictures like the ones you can see here, here and here; voices lines of Sein, The Spirit Tree...what you want!), don't hesitate to ask me.

P-P-PS: Do you know Hollow Knight? I really love this game, as much as Ori!

Just, can you explain me what is Ori and the Lament of the World, which is so suddenly appeared. Usually I know almost everything about Ori, but there ...

      Nice to meet you,

      Camille

    • Long story short. Ori and the Lament of the World is an old project created by Ryokouji Tougama and Richard Heiselgraff (RIP). They began to work on it in 1986 and planned to release it on Playstation 1 and 2. But the project was cancelled in 2000. Then Moon Studios made the Blind Forest. And right now Ryokouji is restoring the project with his team. Richard, sadly, has passed away on 30th of July this year, so Ryokouji had to find a new programmer (I got the info that he found one 2 days ago).

What's really interesting is the music for this project composed by the same Ryokouji. There's a link in my article to his channel. I am but just a stranger who stumbled on it, so I decided to help him spread the info, so I came here and created an article.

      Thanks. I didn't know that. That's...astonishing, really.

And good job for your article!

Since when do we know that?

English version in the case you are english and imagined things:

I just realized that I bothered to write everything in English while -i think - you're French, if I believe the information on your profile and your website, right?

PS: Since I moved, I live in Marseille. We are not far xD

P-PS: Good luck with the heat wave.

    • Yeah I'm a french who lives not to far from Marseille. x) But I was writing in english to make sure everyone can understand what I'm talking about.

I extracted the resources of the game as well (sounds, textures), which helped me to make some Ori-related projects. (I look at the logo of the wiki - maybe we should change it with the "real" logo?)

And yes, I know Hollow Knight and I love it too! This one is definitely in my top 5. But Ori remains my favorite. If you are curious about the games I like/love/idolize : https://www.senscritique.com/Ailothaen

About that "Ori and the Lament of the World" thing... Personally, that is the first time I've heard about this, and after some research I've done, I'm seriously doubtful about it. There are absolutely no references on the web which are less than 1 month old, and we really have no other info than some music and the cover... so, unless we have more serious info about it, I don't take it too seriously.

    • Well, the fact that it's from 1986 is already intriguing. But yeah, there's really no info about it and only Ryokouji knows about it. Only through his information I created an article.

    • Okay, with some other fans we did a short investigation, and we can state this is definitely a hoax. I've added more info on the wiki page comments.

I'm going to write in english too to improve my skills in this language which is not my speciality.

I'm not admin on this wiki so I can't change the logo of the wiki, sorry... Ask Darkstripe for that. And just because I'm too curious, what are your Ori-related projects?

Oooh, I saw that you like Child of Light and Undertale! I love these game too!

I'm happy to see more and more fans arrive on this wiki too long deserted.

To tell you the truth, I suspected it a little. Do you want help to delete the page (I can do this because I'm content moderator)?

        Loading editor
    • I don't really see the reason why you should delete it. Yes, there's no official info about it but that's because only Ryokouji Tougama knows about it and through his instructions I created this article. Richard Heiselgraff too participated in the project but as you know, he passed away. There's Ghost Channel on YouTube who knows about this too, even though he doesn't remember much now. And there's me, who gathers info. That's it. Only 3 of us can tell something about this project. So, I still don't understand why do you think it's a hoax.

    • @Plume_de_Paon : I never played Child of Light actually, because I just don't want to be dependant of Uplay. <.< Plus, some people told me that the game is not that excellent, but maybe this is wrong.

Well, my main project is (or was, as it's finished) the interactive map of Ori and the Blind Forest : https://www.reddit.com/r/OriAndTheBlindForest/comments/79iyum/nibel_interactive_map_an_interactive_web_map_with/ It's based on a old version made by someone else but he couldn't host it anymore, so I rebuild it from scratch to add Definitive Edition and a better design. Another thing is the Reddit of Ori ( /r/OriAndTheBlindForest ) where I made the theme for both the old and new Reddit layout (this is wayyy harder on the old than on the new, as you have to kinda tweak the code of the website)

Yeah, I want the wiki to be populated as well. Unlike some other communities like Hollow Knight, Undertale... where they are very active about the wiki, our own is pretty in a inactive state (which can lead to confusion as people are searching for a wiki sometimes). (But a nice thing in the new Reddit is that we can pin links in the top menu. I could certainly make a link to the wiki there!)

@Andrew_"BlueAura"_Pilipenko : Well, I'm repeating myself, but as far as now we literally don't have any materiel or even tangible info stating about the "trueness" of this. Without speaking about deleting, I think this should be better to add a banner/header, stating something like "this content is unverified for now" (something like this Wikipedia header for example)

I played Child of Light twice and I find that it's a really cool game - even if it's a little bit too short.

Good job with your map and the reddit community!

I do my best to make the wiki more attractive by adding elements of system files like here and by creating pages like this one. I may not seem to be very active but I come here as often as I can. Work on this wiki is a real pleasure for me.

PS: If one day it interests you, I'm also on Google + under the name of Camille L. I have a Hollow Knight community. It's not yet very known but I'm working on it! And anyway, all things start small, right?
