Opher is a vendor in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. A monkey-like creature, he is a combat expert who teaches Ori new moves and upgrades old ones, for a price. He wields a wooden staff as a weapon.

Description[edit | edit source]

Opher is a creature similar to a white baboon or monkey and has a stance similar to that of a human. He has a mane of fur around his pink face and a long mustache and beard. Opher wears brown clothing and wields a wooden staff, with a piece of string attached to it.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps[edit | edit source]

Opher is first encountered in Inkwater Marsh. After the player's first purchase, he can be found in Wellspring Glades, mentioning a library in The Wellspring which he would like to visit. After, he can be found at the entrance to The Wellspring, as well as in the library and later rescues Ori from the Stink Spirit. He stays in Wellspring Glades after the cleansing of the Wellspring.

The first move you buy is 400 Spirit Light.

What's Shriek doing all the way out here!? Something must have stirred her from her roost. Some threat, perhaps? Not you, surely. You look harmless. ...We should fix that. Luckily for you, I just happen to be a weapon master!

After buying first weapon Make the most of your new skill, the next won't come so cheaply. If you care to put your skills to the test, there's a Spirit Shrine nearby. In Wellspring What a maze this old mill is! No time to tarry, though. Still a ways to go. I've got knowledge to acquire, and you've a mill to unstick. And a friend to find, I hear? Good luck! No time to waste!
In library The legends were true, spirit! Just look at all of this knowledge! But there' something else, a foul presence nearby. There, can't you smell it? Seems to be wafting down from somewhere up above. Mind checking on it while I browse these books? Of course, if you would like to hone your skills, I am available.
In library There's a limit to what I can trach you. After all, I cannot teach you what I do not know. But I've heard of a place with knowledge...ancient, spirit knowledge. The entrance is said to be barred to all but the most observant. Good luck!
