An Ancestral Tree
Ancestral Trees are glowing trees that are the remains of spirits killed by Kuro. Through the knowledge of these Ancestral Trees, and with the help of Sein, Ori can learn new skills to help him save Nibel.
Each Ancestral Tree is possessed by a unique Spirit and have their own special character traits as explained by Sein.
Deceased Spirits
- Fil was the first spirit Ori came across in the Sunken Glades, passing on the Charge Flame ability to the young hero.
- Ano was strong and courageous. He was known for his ability to Wall Jump and died in the depths of Hollow Grove.
- Leru was swift, agile and had the ability to cut through the air. Her ancestral tree is found in Gumo's Hideout.

- Reem was an agile spirit, able to dash through the air. His ancestral tree was found inside the depths of the Ginso Tree.
- Ilo was the stoutest and most powerful of all the spirits, possessing the ability to Stomp. His ancestral tree was found in Thornfelt Swamp.
- Tatsu used to climb the mountains high atop Sorrow Pass. She later lost hope when her brother's torch faded and she fell to the mists of Misty Woods, losing her path.
- Nir was another sacrifice for Nibel. She flew through the air, soaring through the sky. Her world knew no bounds until the forest withered. Nir's Ancestral Tree is found in Sorrow Pass.
